Eating kiwi fruit is clearly a healthy choice. Also Known as Chineese gooseberry, The importer in the US named it kiwifruit around 1962 and the name became global brand. Kiwi fruit is rich in vitamin C than the orange. It Provides a healthy amount of antioxidants, vitamins and helps preventing colon cancer thanks to a high fiber content.
Prep and Cook Time: 10 minutes Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 3 tbs fresh orange juice
- 1 tbs honey
- 1/2 tsp orange zest
- 1/4 tsp lemon zest
- 1 kiwifruit
- 4 strawberries or 12-14 raspberries
- Optional: 2 tbs chopped walnuts
- In a bowl, whisk the yogurt, orange juice, honey and grated orange and lemon zest until thoroughly combined.
- Place in 2 shallow soup dishes.
- Peel the kiwifruit and thinly slice into rounds.
- Take the stems off of the strawberries and cut them lengthwise into 4-6 pieces depending on the size of the fruit.
- Arrange the fruit in a beautiful pattern on top of the yogurt mixture and sprinkle with some grated orange rind and nuts if using.
- Refrigerate for 1/2 hour so that the yogurt is well chilled. Enjoy Immediately............
