Tuna Fish

Tuna is pink coloured fish, commonly sold as pre-cooked canned fish, is a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids and is truly a dense nutrient food. It is found in the warm water regions like Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea etc., This is low in fat, high in protein which fights against heart diseases and some cancers and can lower cholesterol levels.








Preparation Time: 10-15 min
Cook Time: 15-20 min

Ingredients:
1 canned tuna
1 big onion chopped
1 big tomato diced
5-6 tsp of cilantro chopped
1 tsp mint chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp ginger, garlic paste
2 green chillies diced
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp oil


1. Drain the water or oil from the canned tuna and keep it aside.
2. Heat the oil in a skillet, add onion and chillies, saute them for 5 min
3. Add tomatoes, let it fry for 2-3 min.
4. Add turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, salt, red chilly powder, cilantro, mint and cook them for a 2 min.
5. Then add tuna fish, sprinkle little water to it, cover the lid, cook it for 5-7 min.
6. Turn off the heat and add lemon juice to it.
7. Serve this with plain rice.


This tastes good with sand-witches, wraps etc.,
