Vegetarian Kebabs

Kebab is Persian origin dish and Arabic tradition was invented by medieval Persian soldiers who used their swords to grill meat over open-field fires. Kebabs in  India are similar to most other kebab preparations along with their distinct taste which can be credited to the spices native to the sub-continent.


Cuisine: Indian

Preparation Time: 15-20 min
Cook Time: 25-30 min

Ingredients:
1 cup cooked rice mashed
1/2 cup rice flour
2-3 tsp oats
3 tsp sesame seeds
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/4 cup finely chopped broccoli
1/4 cup thinly chopped cilantro
2-3 green chillies thinly chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 small onion chopped
1 tsp garam masala
3-4 tsp grounded roasted chanadal
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp asafeteda
2-3 tsp butter
salt to taste

1. Preheat the over for 15 min at 350 degrees.
2. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
3. Take small ball of dough and blend it into oval or round shape.
4. Apply little butter over the round shaped patties.
5. Keep them in the grill for about 25-30 min.
6. Turn over the kebabs after 12 min and grill other side for 10 more min.
7. Let them turn into golden brown colour.
8. Take kebabs out and enjoy with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
